The FashTECH Project is a special project made possible by a grant from the American Association of University Women (AAUW), Armstrong State University and the Telfair Museum.
During hands-on workshops, student participants will merge technology with fashion while up-cycling garments into wearable artworks using conductive threads, sounds and sensors, micro-controllers, 3D modeling & 3D printing, and LEDs with the help of rising undergraduate Armstrong females and Armstrong Art Professors Rachel Green and Angela Horne.
The FashTECH Project culminates with an exhibition to display the artifacts that are created along the way and ends with a special display at the Jepson Center for the Arts during the Telfair Museums’ PULSE Festival in January!
